This Site is made available for use by parents, students, staff and host schools who access services provided by Global Education. The Site is intended to provide information about Global Education services and programs, and to facilitate student registration. Users may access and use this Site enroll in programs, to access information about Global Education, to submit inquiries or complaints or to provide comments of feedback.

Some “Authorized Users” of this Site have access to the Site’ s portal (“Portal”) where they can enroll, participate in programs and access their own personal information. Authorized Users are assigned or required to create a User Profile and a unique login and password (“Account”). Authorized Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of all passwords and account information.

3. Acceptable Use of this Site

Users may not access and use the Site or Portal to engage in conduct that (a) is illegal or unlawful or constitutes a violation of any applicable statute or regulation; (b) is threatening, obscene, defamatory, harassing or abusive; (c) results in the unauthorized distribution of our confidential information or third party personal information or other material contrary to applicable laws, including under contractual or fiduciary obligations; (d) infringes intellectual property or proprietary rights vested in the Global Education or third parties; (e) exposes the Site or Portal to viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, monitor or limit the functionality of the Site, Portal or the School District’s electronic systems; or (f) amounts to a use of the Site or Portal or access to the Site or Portal for commercial purposes without our express written consent; (h) is for the purposes of gaining unauthorized access to, or attempts to interfere with or compromise, the normal functioning, operation or security of any portion of the Site or Portal or any user’s Account; or (i). interferes with the ability of others to access and use the Site.

If there is any conflict between these Terms and any other agreement between you or your business and School District, the latter agreements will prevail.

12. Choice of Law Jurisdiction

Except where prohibited by law, these Terms, your access to and use of the Site and the Content, and any claims made against Global Education arising out of such access or use or otherwise, will be governed by and construed and interpreted in accordance with British Columbia laws, without reference to British Columbia’s conflict of law rules.

Except where prohibited by law, you agree that exclusive jurisdiction and venue in any legal proceeding directly or indirectly arising out of or relating to the Site will be in the British Columbia courts sitting in Vancouver, British Columbia.
