BC Offshore Schools

Global Education is an approved British Columbia Ministry of Education provider of distributed learning courses to non-resident learners which are eligible for credit toward a BC Graduation Certificate. All courses are taught by BC certified teachers, who are experts in delivering the BC curriculum. Global Education strives to provide the highest quality, interactive and engaging opportunities and assessments that are suited to the individual needs of students.
Students attending a BC Offshore School can register for online courses with Global Education. We offer both asynchronous and synchronous courses to students at BC Offshore Schools.

2 + 1 Pathway Program

Students may be awarded credit for distributed learning courses by their BC home school. The BC home school is responsible for awarding credit for distributed learning courses taken with School District No.73 Business Company, providing students successfully pass with a minimum of 50% as a final grade. Please read our policy on Eligible Course Offerings 200.1.
Credit for courses that cover the Graduation Program that meet the graduation requirements can only be given by an Offshore School, BC Public School District or Independent School Authority following equivalency review by the Offshore School, BC Public School District, or Independent School Authority that the student is enroled.

High School Courses

Our courses blend interactive online courses with face-to-face support in student’s home country.We offer both asynchronous and synchronous courses. Our courses blend interactive online courses with face-to-face support in student’s home country. Asynchronous courses students can register at any time.

Elementary and Middle School Courses

Elementary and Middle School courses are offered temporarily to students unable to attend a BC School due to COVID-19. Our online courses meet the standards of the British Columbia curriculum. Global Education is a British Columbia Ministry approved provider of international distributed learning courses. All courses are taught by BC certified teachers.

High School Preparation Courses

Global Education’s High School Preparation Program prepares students wishing to study English at a Canadian high school. This foundational program prepares students for the academic challenges of Canadian high school. Students study subjects such as Social Studies, Science, Mathematics and English. Our classes will help familiarize students with the basic English vocabulary necessary for the comprehension of high school subjects.
Our courses blend interactive online courses with face to face support in student’s home country.
Foundational courses are taught by experienced BC certified teachers.
Teachers meet with students once a week for live video lessons. Students will communicate with the students via email, video lessons and other means of technology assisted learning. Students are supported by a Teacher Assistant in their home school.

English Language Learners (ELL) Courses

Our courses blend interactive online courses with face to face support in student’s home country.
ELL courses focus on reading, writing, speaking and listening activities. ELL courses are designed to prepare students for English 9-11. ELL courses are taught by experienced BC certified teachers.
Teachers meet with students once a week for live video lessons. Students will communicate with the students via email, video lessons and other means of technology assisted learning. Students are supported by a Teacher Assistant in their home school.
